The inspiration behind Chekker was deeply personal,
A few years ago, my partner's mom had a stroke, She was then taken to the hospital where the doctor requested an MRI scan. At the time of reaching the laboratory, which was a standard and one of the biggest in Lagos, the situation there was poor as there were hundreds of people who were waiting to be tested. At that point, we discovered that this problem poses a greater threat to life.
This personal experience reflected the urgency of the situation and the reality of healthcare inefficiency. It inspired Ifedamola's commitment to making healthcare more accessible and eliminating the inconvenience of lengthy waits for medical tests.
This led to the creation of Chekker. We wanted to solve this problem by taking the lab to people's homes.
